Everything You Need to Know
Do you offer layaway?
Yes, we offer layaway on all of our discontinued samples. A $50 deposit and monthly payments are required. This is a great option to secure the dress of your dreams early in the wedding planning process.
What is the special order process?
Once you have chosen your special order gown we will confirm the size, color, and style. You will pay 50% of the dress cost and tax. When your dress arrives you will pay the balance at pick up.
Do you have "off the rack" dresses?
Yes, we do have dresses available for purchase "off the rack". This is a wonderful option if you don't have time to wait for a special order dress to arrive. You can leave with your dream dress the same day and go straight to alterations!
How does my wedding date affect the shopping process?
After you say yes to your dress, most gowns take four to six months to arrive and require an additional four to eight weeks. If your wedding date doesn't allow for that timeline we do offer samples also known as off-the-rack styles (gowns that have previously been tried on but can usually be taken home the same day). Sometimes rush deliveries are available for an additional fee.
Are alterations included in the cost of my gown, and what do they average?
At Lace & Glam Bridal Boutique, we order the nearest size possible to reduce the need for extensive alterations. We do not offer in-house alterations. Most of our brides spend around $150-$250 for alterations. If you decide to add on some special customizations the alterations cost will be higher than the usual minor alterations needed. Depending on your needs, alterations can run from a couple of hundred dollars for minor changes, like adjusting the hem & adding a bustle, to upward of $1,000 for extensive changes, like completely restructuring the gown's silhouette or adding hand beading.
Can I request a sample gown if you don't carry it in-store?
We do not carry our designer's entire collection in our store. When our designers release a new wedding gown collection, we handpick the styles we carry from the collection based on the buying pattern of our local brides. These are the sample gowns we offer for try-on during your bridal appointment. When you say yes to your dress after trying on the sample gowns, we then order a brand-new version of your dress based on your size and the color options you choose. Some of our designers even offer customizations (this is why it can take months for the dress to actually be ready!). Remember, when you're looking at a designer's website and you see a wedding dress you love, you'll want to call or email us to find out if we have the dress in-store for you to try on. If not, they may be able to request a sample just for you to try on with enough advance planning.
