When should I start shopping for my wedding dress?
We recommend shopping at least 9 months before your wedding date! This will allow you to have the widest selection of gowns to shop and order from. Our wedding gowns can take up to 6 months to arrive, and we recommend 2-3 months for alterations. If your wedding date does not allow for this timeline, we do offer for samples to be sold off-the-rack and can be taken home same day!
Do I need an appointment to try on dresses?
Yes, we are open by appointment only. This allows us to provide a personalized, one-on-one experience for each bride and give you our full attention during your visit.
What should I bring with me to my appointment?
The most important thing for you to bring is an open mind! So many brides end up choosing a dress completely different from their original vision. If you plan on visiting more than one bridal store in a day, we recommend planning time for lunch/dinner or bringing snacks! Nothing is worse than shopping when you are hungry. You are welcome to bring shape wear and shoes if you would like but it is not necessary.
What does the special order process look like?
Once you feel ready to say yes to your dress and get your wedding gown ordered, we will confirm all the important details — including the size, color, and style — to ensure everything is just right. At that time, a 50% deposit will be collected to place your order. When your gown arrives, we’ll carefully steam it and notify you that it’s ready. Together, we’ll coordinate a convenient pickup appointment, where you’ll have a chance to try on your dress, pay the remaining balance, receive seamstress recommendations, and take your beautiful gown home.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we do! We offer layaway for off-the-rack gowns with just a $100 deposit. After that, you’re welcome to make payments as frequently as you’d like, in any amount that works for you. For special order gowns, we require a 50% deposit to place the order. The remaining balance is due when you come in to pick up your dress. You're more than welcome to make smaller payments toward the second half if that’s easier — we just kindly ask that the initial 50% deposit be made in full if possible.
Do you offer in house alterations?
We order the closest size possible to help reduce the need for major alterations. While we don’t offer in-house alterations, this allows our brides the freedom to work with a seamstress they trust — and to avoid the high costs often found at larger bridal stores. We’re happy to recommend a few trusted local seamstresses based on your specific needs. Most brides spend around $150–$450 for standard alterations like hemming and adding a bustle. If you're planning more detailed customizations, such as reshaping the gown or adding embellishments, costs can go up to $1,000 or more, depending on the complexity.
How many guests can I bring to my appointment?
We can comfortably seat up to 7 guests in our boutique. If you choose to shop on a weekday, we may be able to accommodate a few more by using extra seating from our other fitting room. That said, we always recommend bringing only your closest and most supportive people. Having a smaller group can help you stay focused, avoid feeling overwhelmed by too many opinions, and truly enjoy the experience of finding your dress.
Do you sell mother of the bride or bridesmaids dresses?
We don’t offer mother of the bride or bridesmaids dresses, as our boutique is dedicated solely to bridal gowns. By focusing only on wedding dresses, we can provide the widest variety and the most personalized experience for brides, ensuring you have the best selection in our space.
